Carbondale, IL February 9, 2011-This week Cavanaugh steps down as Coordinator of Vine Project Compassion with a new found perspective. Under Cavanaugh’s direction Project Compassion aided more than 60 families in staying off of the street by partnering with hotels, property managers, and housing agencies in order to provide short and long-term emergency housing. The organization also provided meals and groceries, household necessities, clothing, childcare, and ongoing support by mobilizing more than one hundred volunteers. Click here to read more.
