The Entrepreneur Café, LLC is committed to small business and committed to doing good in the community. Our company is a proud supporter of youth entrepreneurship and the Young Entrepreneurs Program (YEP). The Young Entrepreneurs Program is a non-profit organization dedicated to ‘nurturing a new generation of entrepreneurs’. Since 1998 the YEP has taught young aspiring entrepreneurs (ages 12-18) how to get an early start on small business success and gain a better understanding of financial literacy through enterprise.
Across the country and throughout the world, small business has become a focal point for stabilizing and rebuilding economies. Our collaborative efforts with the Young Entrepreneurs Program has uncovered the following. Greater economic development is possible in many areas but if it is to happen, it will need to be locally formulated and entrepreneurially driven. There is a need for a broader economic vision guided by an economic entity with the power and resources to establish an entrepreneurial-and investment-friendly atmosphere. Lastly, local entrepreneurial talents, even when they lie latent and underdeveloped today (as youth), can lead to much brighter economic futures.
Going forward the goals of the Young Entrepreneurs Program will continue to:
- Provide real world small business experience to students of all cultural and economic backgrounds.
- Support the enterprises of youth that have a positive impact on the community.
- Encourage the dreams of youth through small business.
- Promote the discipline of entrepreneurship among youth.
- Provide youth with alternatives to unemployment, low paying jobs and destructive life choices.
